From the AUTO PHOTO x Girls on Track UK Photography Masterclass at BTCC’s Thruxton round, one talented photographer was selected to win a commission to photograph at Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1’s event focusing on women in engineering!

Everyone took some great photos on the day, but this image from Charlotte Lake in the Excelr8 Motorsport garage really stood out to the judges, Girls on Track’s Jenny Fletcher and AUTO PHOTO Creative Director Karen Harvey.

“The experience on the day was something I have never experienced before, all women in a safe space sharing and helping each other with their work, sharing perspectives is not only empowering but it has been encouraging and a breath of fresh air. You encouraged a lot of thought provoking conversations that I know that most of us haven’t spoken about before but were definitely in the back of our minds. Being chosen as a winner is an incredible honor to have been chosen among such talented female photographers, ones who I even look up to! It has truly helped assist my negative mindset towards my work and to help me see that I need to take pride in the work I create.”
